The Plain Township Fire Department will be transitioning to an online permit application and building plan review process as of January 1, 2022.

Permit applications and building plan submittals will need to be in PDF electronic format utilizing Mobile Eyes software for public safety inspections.

The first step is to create a Mobile Eyes account.

Start the process via the Mobile Eyes website by following the instructions forCreating a portal account” and “Submitting a permit application and plans”.

On January 6, 2021, the Plain Township Trustees adopted a new fee schedule for permits and plans review. The document “PTFD Fire Prevention Fees: Permit and Plan Review” lists the new fee schedule. Once your permit application and plans have been submitted, an invoice will be generated.

The document “Specific Provisions Related to the Ohio Fire Code” lists items that are specific to the PTFD (fire apparatus access roads, key boxes, fire protection water supplies, automatic sprinkler systems, fire alarm and detection systems, and fire department connections.
