PTFD Ice Rescue Training

A Special Thank You to the City of New Albany for creating the Ice Rescue Training Video!

Each year, the Plain Township Fire Department trains for ice rescues, ensuring they’re prepared for these high-risk emergencies. With over 300 ponds in and around the City of New Albany, icy conditions can turn dangerous fast. If you witness someone go under, especially a child, call 9-1-1 immediately—never attempt a rescue yourself. Click the image to watch and learn more ice safety tips.
