New PTFD Firefighters Support Future Substation

Courtesy of the City of New Albany

Last week, six new firefighters took the oath to serve, providing a boost to the future of public safety in our community. Thanks to a $1.6 million federal SAFER Grant, these new hires will help staff Plain Township Fire Department’s second station, planned for the northwest corner of State Route 605 (New Albany-Condit Road) and New Albany Road East. As our community continues to grow, this investment will strengthen response times and ensure PTFD is prepared to meet increasing demand. Check out our latest video for an update on the increased staffing and new station.
