ImageThe Plain Township Fire Department in conjunction with the New Albany Police Department and the Plain Local School District will be holding Safety Town this summer.

Safety Town is a safety awareness program held each summer for children who will be entering kindergarten or first grade in the fall. Each day, the program explores a different safety topic, including stranger awareness, water safety, fire safety, pedestrian and bicycle safety, animal safety and school bus safety. All Safety Town instructors are state certified elementary school teachers, and police and firefighters are on hand everyday.

Safety Town’s 2010 session will begin June 21st and run through mid July. Registration has already started and will continue through June 20th. You can register by logging on to www.newalbanysafetytown.org or by stopping by the New Albany Police Department
