DutiesThe township trustees may appoint an administrator to act as an administrative head of the township under the direction and supervision of the trustees. The administrator shall hold office at the pleasure of the board by contract of varying lengths of time. The administrator has many duties, all under the direction of the township trustees. These duties include assisting in the administration of the township specifically with regard to policies and resolutions, informing trustees of the financial condition of the township, preparing budgets and recommending measures as directed by the trustees. Biography Ben Collins, Plain Township Administrator ![]() Ben Collins Ben Collins serves as the Plain Township Administrator. He comes to Plain Township with a background in zoning law and intergovernmental relations. Mr. Collins began his public employment working for the Franklin County Engineer's Office while attending the Ohio State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science. He earned his law degree and master of public administration degree from the University of Akron. Mr. Collins has served as a research assistant with Summit County Council, an assistant prosecutor in the civil division of the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office and as the administrator of investigations with the Ohio Department of Education.
